The management team of APWireless has been actively involved in financing wireless infrastructure since the late 1990s. During the past 21 years our team has been associated with approximately $4 billion of asset financings, including thousands of cell site lease buyouts.
Eric has more than 21 years of experience as a tax and structured finance lawyer with an emphasis on “big ticket” lease financings and wireless infrastructure. Prior to being named CEO of APWireless, Eric co-founded and owned Wireless Infrastructure Partners LLC and, before that, RFS Capital, LLC, both of which originated investments in telecommunications infrastructure assets. From May 2005 until February 2007 Eric served as the Vice President of Finance and Tax Counsel of Md7, a consulting firm that helps wireless carriers manage their infrastructure assets. Prior to that, Eric spent 10 years as a tax and structured finance lawyer with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Brown & Wood LLP, and as a senior-level tax advisor with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Eric earned his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Master’s of Science from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, and a BA in Economics and International Studies from Pepperdine University.
Daniel J. Hasselman, President
Dan has more than 17 years of experience as an executive in the real estate and wireless infrastructure industries and has been involved in over $1 billion worth of transactions. Prior to being appointed President at APWireless, Dan fulfilled the role of Managing Director at Wireless Infrastructure Partners, LLC. Dan also co-founded and owned Vertical Capital Group, which originated investments in telecommunications infrastructure assets on behalf of RFS Capital, LLC. Dan entered the telecommunications finance industry by opening and operating an office for a leading telecom lease acquisitions firm. As a lifelong entrepreneur, Dan has been involved with many start-ups, including real estate, lending, acquisitions and investment companies. At an early age, Dan founded U.S. Home and Loan, Inc., which became a top producing subsidiary of the 2nd largest mortgage brokerage firm in the United States. Dan attended Minnesota State University and San Diego State University.
Andrew K. Wood, Executive Vice President of Operations
Andy has more than 18 years of experience as a professional and executive in the real estate and wireless infrastructure industries. Prior to being appointed EVP of Operations at APWireless, Andy fulfilled the role of Managing Director at WIP. Andy also co-founded and owned Vertical Capital Group, which originated investments in telecommunications infrastructure assets on behalf of RFS Capital. Andy entered the telecom industry by working on behalf of major carriers in the United States as a consultant for a leading telecommunications firm. With his background in real estate, mortgages and commercial leasing, Andy pioneered innovative acquisition strategies across the telecommunications industry. Andy has also served on the board of directors for San Diego’s Gaslamp City Square. He earned his BA in Finance and Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Edward W. Bergstrom, Senior Vice President - North America
Edward has more than 19 years of experience in sales and sales management. Prior to being appointed Senior Vice President at APWireless, Edward was Vice President of Sales for the US market. Edward was a principal at a successful mortgage loan origination branch from December 2000 to June 2008, where he originated an average of over 30 transactions totaling more than $3 million per month in deal volume. He also founded E.W.B Financial, which offered a variety of finance products in September, 2005.
Tom joined APWireless in 2011 to expand the successful US business into the UK. Following the successful launch of the UK business, Tom worked to open up APWireless Ireland and more recently has taken an active role in the management of the Dutch and German businesses. Previously, Tom has spent over 15 years’ in telecoms site acquisition and estate management in the UK market. Prior to joining APWireless, his experience included working for a leading UK site acquisition firm, as National Acquisition and Planning Manager. More recently, he worked for a firm of Chartered Property Consultants advising landlords on telecommunication site estate management matters. Tom’s principal role is managing and developing the UK, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands businesses. When not in work, Tom can be found spending time with his young family, playing various sports and fitting in the occasional fly fishing trip.
Stelvio Salomone, Senior Vice President - Spain and Latin America
Stelvio has over 27 years of experience managing various projects at both the National and International level. For the last 22 years, he has worked in the telecommunications industry focusing on sector specialist solutions for mobile telephony infrastructure-acquisition of sites, rent reductions and legalization of the network. Additionally, Stelvio has founded more than seven telecommunications companies, of which, most are still operating. His vast knowledge of the telecom industry is clear in his role as overseer of the APWireless subsidiaries in Spain and Latin America. Stelvio received his Bachelors of Technical Business Administration degree from the University of Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid, Spain.
Tim Metz, Vice President - Central and Eastern Europe
For the last 10 years, Tim has directed multi million Euro operations in the wireless network real estate spectrum. His experience has educated him on how mobile networks work worldwide and the real estate requirements to support them. Exceptional relationship skills and a keen eye for business opportunities have brought Tim to CEE to assist individuals and small businesses in realizing their goals. Successfully founding and running businesses from the time he finished school in Southern California, Tim has developed a superior foundation of personnel and operations management.
Scott E. Langeland, Vice President, Legal and Underwriting
Scott oversees the legal and operations team for APWireless and has played a key role in the company operating in 14 countries. A Cum Laude graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law, He has six years of legal experience covering areas such as structured finance, commercial real estate, civil litigation, discovery and pre-trial motions, drafting pleadings and general trial preparation. Before joining APWireless, Scott worked at the Law offices of James T. Bentson. Besides his law degree, Scott also holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah, Salt Lake city, UT.
Christopher Sandoval, Vice President, Portfolio Management
Chris joined the APWireless team in 2015, bringing a decade of wireless industry experience to serve our tenants and shareholders. Committed for delivering superior service to our tenants and site owners, Chris is responsible for managing APWireless’s growing portfolio of global assets. Prior to his arrival, Chris worked for Md7 for 10 years, building relationships and providing wireless real estate services to all the major operators in the US (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon). Since 2009, he oversaw the growth of Md7’s European operations, successfully delivering projects for Austria Telekom, Vodafone, Telefonica, T-Mobile, et al. in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. Christopher earned his B.S. in Product Design and Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.
Ryan McGee, Vice President, Finance
Ryan has more than nine years of experience as a finance professional. Prior to being appointed VP of Finance at APWireless, Ryan fulfilled the role of Corporate Controller at APWireless. Before joining the APWireless management team Ryan performed advisory, assurance, and audit services for Ernst and Young, LLP in Silicon Valley where he specialized in the technology sector. He earned his BA in Accounting and also Finance and Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
